At Happy Minds, we provide therapy and assessment services for children, adolescents and adults in Ontario. Jessica Palmer, MA, C. Psych. is the owner of Happy Minds and she is registered with the College of Ontario Psychologists. Tiffany McLaren assists Jessica Palmer to provide clients with a comfortable and professional assessment experience. We welcomed Kylee Slade, MA, RP in 2023 who joined Happy Minds as a registered psychotherapist. Kylee is accepting new clients and has evening and weekend availability!
We provide treatment for children, adolescents, and adults both virtually and in-person. We primarily utilize cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness in our treatment with clients. Sessions are often experiential and behavioural and involve creating goals, providing you with education and teaching you real skills that we practice right in session. Often you will leave with something to practice before your next session as well. Sessions are collaborative and our aim is always getting you closer to the life you want to be living!
Jessica Palmer, MA, C. Psych. has over 20 years of experience offering psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Assessments are used to identify if your child is eligible for gifted programming or an educational plan for a learning disorder, attention deficit or an emotional need, such as anxiety. Teachers, therapists, and physicians often use the report findings in order to target interventions and create a plan to support the child at school and home. Jessica will meet with you and your child for a clinical intake interview, Tiffany will administer and score the tests that Jessica orders for your assessment. Next, you will meet with Jessica to review the findings, discuss recommendations and next steps.
